Mei Liu, MA, RCC is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. She has a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Mei has more than 20 years of experiences working in the mental health field and has helped many clients with a wide spectrum of anxiety, depression, substance use, self-harm and emotion regulation difficulties. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention Therapy and Mindfulness approaches in her practice. She helps individuals and couples explore how their deep unconscious core beliefs affect their behaviours and relationship patterns. She also specializes in supporting family members deal with love one’s mental health issues. Mei believes that each person has the resources within for healing and growth, and her role is to assist her clients discovering and activating these inner strengths through a therapeutic connection between the client and the therapist.
