Alena is a practicum student completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Alena has a background in wellness and disability management and experience in supporting people during challenging times. Alena treats every individual with respect and compassion and strives to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where everyone feels safe and understood.

Alena’s approach to therapy is humanistic in nature, emphasizing the importance of being your true self in order to live your most fulfilling life. Alena believes that there are no “bad parts” in people and that every person has unique strengths and talents. While addressing clients’ emotional, behavioural, and relational issues, Alena uses an integrative and holistic approach that goes beyond only focusing on the mind, but also pays attention to the messages of the body, and soul. Alena is committed to ongoing learning to be competent in a wide range of theories and techniques and be helpful to all the clients with whom she works.
