He completed his Masters in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Guelph University.

Brier is an open, patient, curious person who can help you explore your experiences, emotions, thoughts, and behavior. Brier recognizes the strength it can take to reach out; he values your privacy, safety, and autonomy.

Brier often works with adults who have experienced childhood trauma. He has helped people reduce the shame they experience, improve their personal and interpersonal boundaries, and he has helped people understand and accept themselves more. Brier is inspired by the work of Pete Walker in his approach to working with trauma.

Brier pulls from several theories and techniques in his approach. He is client centered and informed by Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Brier implements Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and family work.
