Celina Vergel de Dios, RCC, has an M.A. in Counselling Psychology (Yorkville University) along with a second Masters degree specializing in social-emotional learning (University of British Columbia).
Celina is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) as well as a certified mindfulness facilitator (Mindfulness Without Borders). She has additionally developed, implemented, and evaluated social-emotional competence promotion programs across a range of diverse populations.
The foundation of Celina’s approach to working with clients is creating meaningful client-counsellor connections that involve collaboration around the counselling goals. She believes that optimal outcomes become more achievable when clients are actively involved in the treatment process. Mental health should not just focus on the absence of our issues/problems but should also uncover how to enhance our overall quality of life and optimize our strengths.
