He graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree with a Psychology Major and a Gerontology Minor. He is currently completing his Master of Counselling Psychology Degree at Adler University.
Joban’s counselling experiences include extensive educational and practical background in the mental health field. He has experience working with children at BC Children’s Hospital and with the crisis text line by KidsHelpPhone. He graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s Degree with a Psychology Major and a Gerontology Minor. He is currently completing his Master of Counselling Psychology Degree at Adler University. During his program, he has learned how to use yoga strategies in trauma work in counselling. He considers it a privilege to be part of your journey of healing and self-growth.
As a therapist, Joban is warm, empathic, intuitive, caring, and non-judgmental. He uses a holistic approach and aims to help you feel truly heard, seen, and understood. He also aims to help bring to awareness things that may not have been noticeable previously. So, part of his work includes walking a fine line between being caring and gently challenging you in ways to think, feel, or act in different ways to promote healthy relationships and boundaries with others and yourself.
He believes some of the most beautiful work takes place in a therapeutic setting. He would be honoured to be there for you through your journey in discovering new and different ways in leading a more authentic and meaningful life. Some meaningful parts in his life in terms of hobbies and interests include being active and being creative. He loves travelling, running, playing hockey, reading, listening to music, and creating music.
