Jocelyn Carlson is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). Jocelyn holds her Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Victoria and her Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia.
Jocelyn has extensive experience providing young adults and adults across the lifespan with client-centered therapy. She is well-versed in helping clients build inner strategies needed for managing anxiety, panic attacks, mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, gender identity issues, borderline personality disorder, stress-related problems and relationship issues.
She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution Focused Therapy.
Jocelyn is a lifelong learner and is highly committed to continuing education. Jocelyn strives to create a non-judgmental environment in her sessions. She believes that clients are the experts in their own lives and that her role is to walk along side her clients to help them gain the insight they need to achieve their desired goals.
When Jocelyn is not working at her passion with clients, she loves being in nature hiking, camping and boating.
