Paula Fernandez

Paula is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Clinical and Health Psychology from the University of the Balearic Islands (Spain).

She has broad experience working with children, youth and adults providing individual, family and couples therapy.

She believes that creating a warm and trusting space where you can feel seen, heard, and validated is an essential component to help you explore your inner world and embrace your strengths and resilience to achieve your goals.

Counselling is a collaborative process where counsellor and client work together to develop perspective and understanding. She tailors therapy according to each client’s needs, goals, and preferences, based on an integrative approach using multiple evidence-based modalities.

Paula acknowledges that the quality of our relationships and interactions with others can deeply impact our lives and our well-being throughout life. She tends to integrate attachment-based perspectives to obtain an overall sense of the unique context of each client.

Her work focuses on building a safe relationship while providing a nurturing, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment.

She feels honoured and privileged to work and walk alongside you and your journey.
