Ronak’s approach to counselling is person-centered and trauma-informed. She supports clients by helping them draw from their existing strengths, develop self-compassion and gain emotional understanding as they engage in the therapeutic process. Her approach offers a compassionate, authentic, safe and non-judgmental space for clients to explore and understand their presenting problems. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that individuals can change, heal and grow despite their present challenges. She understands that each client’s problems are shaped by their personal stories and experiences, and therefore takes a therapeutic strategy tailored to each client’s unique needs, values, culture, interests and abilities.

Ronak works with clients facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relational issues, existential concerns, self-esteem and worth, personal growth, as well as feelings of guilt and shame. She has experience working with individuals facing multiple barriers from a variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. She has worked with immigrant and refugee populations in both local and international settings, and has extensive experience working with youth and young adult populations.

Ronak supports clients by helping them discover the possibilities within themselves, and find hope, courage, strength, meaning and connections as they shift from surviving to thriving.
