Alishia Ladak

Alishia Ladak, MA, RCC is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. She completed her BA in Counselling Psychology and Human Development at Simon Fraser University and her M.A in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Alishia is a bi-cultural strengths based counsellor with extensive experience providing children, youth, young adults, families and groups with client-centered therapy support. She is trained in helping individuals to build inner strategies and empower them to recognize their strengths needed for managing anxiety, panic attacks, mood disorders, depression, grief and loss, trauma, selective mutism, stress-related problems and relationship issues.

She has worked with children, youth and families providing counselling support. Alishia is trained in a variety of therapeutic models and tailors her treatment plans to meet the personal needs and personalities of her clients. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Complex Trauma Therapy, Expressive Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR),  Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Therapy.

Alishia is a lifelong learner and is highly committed to continuing education. Alishia strives to create a non-judgmental and safe environment in her sessions. She believes sessions should not only be challenging and motivating but also fun! She believes that clients are the experts in their own lives and that her role is to walk alongside her clients to help them gain the insight they need to achieve their desired goals.
