Basil is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). He holds a Master of Counselling from City University of Seattle. He also holds a B.Sc. in Kinesiology from SFU and a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Rehabilitation Medicine Pain Management from the University of Alberta.
Basil has been working in the rehabilitation field for the past 25 years and as a result, is very experienced in dealing with MVA-related issues, such as Chronic Pain, PTSD and driving anxiety. He is also very passionate about working with individuals and couples to help maintain, enhance or achieve a healthy relationship.
He likes to take a holistic and collaborative approach when working with clients and believes positive changes can occur in any situation, wherever you are. Sometimes complex problems don’t always require a complex solution and often something simple can be the start of getting you going in the right direction.

In his practice he offers a person centered, strength-based approach to counselling, focusing on empowerment and what is within your control. He believes you are the expert in your life, and will stand beside you rather than in front of you, to help you reach your goals, live your best life and be the best version of yourself.
