Erik Schindler, RCC, MBA, PhD (Cand.) is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors.
Prior to pursuing a career as a counsellor, Erik spent over a decade working as a teacher and in cooperative education, in three different countries.
Erik generally employs an existential-humanistic approach to therapy, with the belief that discovering the core of the issue, not merely managing symptoms, is the key to moving forward. Erik may also use mindfulness approaches, CBT, or solution-focused therapy, depending on the client’s concerns. He works with adults, youths, and couples.
Erik believes that therapy offers us the opportunity to become greater versions of ourselves, and strives to be a kind, compassionate, and empathetic listener. Through creating close therapeutic bonds with his clients, Erik works to help his clients become the people that they want to be.
