Nakisa Samarghandi, MA, RCC, is a registered clinical counsellor and a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), with a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She has a variety of hands-on training within therapeutic and clinical setting for over 20 years. With many years of experience in treatment, she tries her best to provide a nurturing environment for her clients by creating a therapeutic alliance with confidentiality and creating appropriate empathy.

Nakisa uses different approaches and combination in therapeutic sessions. This is due to the uniqueness of the client and her/his needs to achieve faster results in a short time or deeper results and the desire for deeper cognition. Also, she helps clients to discover these through the therapeutic modality best suited to their unique situation, needs and values. Therefore, she uses Cognitive Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Short-Term analytic Psychotherapy for individual and systemic approaches for couples and families.
