Rob finds it a sincere pleasure to walk alongside his clients on their journey toward emotional health and wellness. While having gone through twists and turns in his own life, he’s discovered that he has a passion to reach out, validate, and become the support system that makes a difference in other people’s lives.
Today Rob is committed to serving his clients, believing in their innate capacity to heal from their past wounds, offering a safe affirming environment with an end goal of adding strength and courage for them to tackle and grab a hold of the elusive happiness that has escaped them.
He strongly believes that the relationship between therapist and client is the key healing agent; therefore, he takes time in sessions to create a safe, affirming bond. The goal is to listen keenly, allowing his clients to feel safe to openly express what is authentically going on for them, and, in the process, discover their core issues and start the healing process.
In his clinical practice, Rob works with adults dealing with depression, anxiety, and relationship issues, along with career and vocational transition. He is particularly interested in working with clients of all ages, dealing with the effects of trauma, who are often struggling with PTSD. He takes an attachment-oriented approach in his work, by enabling clients to resolve traumatic experiences for themselves through a safe therapeutic relationship. When working with clients, Rob often utilizes experiential modalities such as emotion-focused therapy and gestalt therapy.
