We provide expert VAC Counselling Services in Canada

Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC)

Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) benefits may help Canadian veterans pay for counselling with us. We are a registered service provider with VAC, and we can help you use your benefits.

Who it's for

Who VAC is forWho it's for

VAC funding for counselling is for Canadian veterans who want support with their mental health. Veterans often come to counselling for PTSD (post-traumatic stress), depression, anxiety or other concerns that weigh on daily life. You do not need to be in crisis to reach out.

Because we are a registered VAC service provider, veterans can see our counsellors through VAC benefits. These include the Veterans Affairs Canada Treatment Benefit (VAC TB) and the Veterans Affairs Canada Rehabilitation Program (VAC RP). Veterans Affairs Canada decides who is eligible and what it covers.

  • Canadian veterans who want support with their mental health
  • Veterans living with PTSD, depression, anxiety or other mental health concerns
  • Veterans who use the VAC Treatment Benefit (VAC TB)
  • Veterans in the VAC Rehabilitation Program (VAC RP)

How to use it

How to use VACHow to use it

Our counsellors know the VAC system and can help you through the steps of using your benefits. You give us your VAC ID number, and we apply for the funding on your behalf.

  1. Find your VAC ID number. If you do not know it, call Veterans Affairs Canada at 1-866-522-2122 and they can help you get it.
  2. Contact us and give us your VAC ID number. If you would like to ask questions first, book a free 15-minute consultation by phone or video.
  3. Let us apply to Veterans Affairs Canada for the funding on your behalf. VAC decides whether you are eligible and what it covers.
  4. Meet your counsellor, who works with you to understand your needs and goals and to plan your counselling together.

If VAC does not cover your counselling, you still have options. Ask us about our sliding scale rates for eligible people, or see our fees and funding page.

Counselling is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 9-8-8, call 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433), or call 911 if you are in danger.
