About Adam

Adam’s path into this work was shaped not only by professional training, but also by his own experience searching for ways to heal from anxiety and trauma. Early in his career, he became interested in approaches that work not only with thoughts and insight, but with the deeper patterns held in the body and nervous system.

In his work with clients, Adam focuses on creating an authentic and supportive therapeutic relationship where people feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences. He believes that meaningful change often begins when the nervous system senses genuine safety and connection, allowing the body’s natural capacity for healing and integration to emerge.

Drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches, Adam works collaboratively with each person to discover what is most helpful for them. Therapy is not a fixed method applied to everyone. Instead, the work unfolds through careful listening to the person’s history, their experience in the present moment, and the responses of the body and nervous system.

Adam believes that beneath even the most painful experiences there is nothing fundamentally broken about a person. Many symptoms of anxiety, shutdown, or overwhelm reflect the nervous system’s attempt to protect us. Therapy becomes a process of helping those protective patterns gradually soften so that people can reconnect with greater safety, resilience, and ease in their lives.

Adam offers individual counselling, with particular experience supporting clients through complex trauma and PTSD. His approach draws on EMDR, alongside attachment-based and mindfulness techniques.

Adam sees clients through virtual care, making his sessions accessible to clients anywhere in BC.
