Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
Taking the first step toward improving your mental and emotional health can often feel like the hardest one, and I’m here to support you on that journey.
My Experience
I’ve been a practicing counsellor since 2005 and have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and age groups. Over the years, I’ve supported clients facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, anger, and substance use, as well as process-related behaviours such as gambling, technology overuse, and sex-related challenges.
In addition to individual therapy, I’ve worked with couples and families navigating relationship and interpersonal dynamics, supported those coping with grief and loss, and provided trauma-informed care, especially to first responders, whose work often puts them at risk for traumatic experiences.
My professional journey has taken me to remote northern communities and public sector roles in the Lower Mainland, allowing me to work with youth, adults, and older adults alike. These experiences have helped shape a well-rounded, compassionate approach to counselling.
My Approach
I use a client-centered framework and draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
At the core of my work is a simple but powerful belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to become the best version of themselves. It’s an honour to support people in that pursuit.
Outside of my work, I’m a proud husband and father of two amazing (and wonderfully challenging) children. One of my kids is an incredible individual with Autism and unique learning abilities, who continues to inspire me every day. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me spending time with family and friends, being active through sports (though not as often as I’d like), or expressing creativity through art and music.
If any part of this resonates with you, I’d love to connect and support you on your journey of growth and healing.

Reviews
Had a great experience and will return for more.
Curtis is exactly who I'm looking for as a counsellor. He is professional yet at the same time is like a friend. I feel comfortable speaking my mind and letting him guild me through my problems. He is up front on explaining that I can choose another counsellor if the fit is not good. I always feel in control in our sessions and that he's there to steer me in the right direction.
