Born in Egypt and raised between the West and the Middle East, Sohilah grew up navigating multiple cultures and identities. While this often made it difficult to feel fully rooted, it also shaped her resilience, adaptability, and deep sensitivity to questions of belonging, safety, and self-identity. Her approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and holistic, integrating somatic techniques to support mind-body awareness and deeper emotional processing.

Her approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and holistic, integrating somatic techniques to support mind-body awareness and deeper emotional processing.
Sohilah is committed to creating a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel respected, understood, and supported in reconnecting with their inner strength and resilience.
Outside of counselling, Sohilah finds joy in getting lost in a good book and exploring new places whenever she can. Reading and traveling allow her to experience new worlds, cultures, and perspectives, helping her reconnect with the bigger picture of life.
As a practicum student, Sohilah offers practicum counselling at a lower cost, alongside couples counselling, family counselling, and youth counselling, with particular experience supporting clients through complex trauma and emotional regulation.
Sohilah sees clients in person at our Coquitlam Centre, Anson/Westwood location, as well as through virtual care for clients anywhere in BC.
