Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
Taking the first step toward support—especially when it involves your relationship—can feel vulnerable and uncertain. I’m here to offer a steady, compassionate space as you and your partner navigate that journey together.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) based in Vancouver, specializing in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and partners. I work with couples who are feeling stuck in patterns of conflict, disconnection, or emotional distance, as well as those navigating life transitions, trust ruptures, communication breakdowns, or the impact of individual struggles (such as anxiety, ADHD, or past experiences) on the relationship. My approach is trauma-informed and attachment-focused, helping partners move from reactivity and misunderstanding toward greater emotional safety, responsiveness, and connection.
I integrate Emotionally Focused Therapy with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, and person-centred therapy so that the process can meet each couple—and each individual within the couple—where they are. Sessions are collaborative and paced with care. My goal is to help partners better understand their own and each other’s emotional worlds, develop more secure ways of relating, and build a relationship that feels more resilient and fulfilling.
As someone born and raised in Vancouver within an immigrant family, I understand the complexities of navigating multiple cultural identities, intergenerational expectations, belonging, and the pressures that can exist within family and community systems. My work is grounded in a culturally sensitive, BIPOC-affirming approach, and I strive to create an inclusive space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard. I offer counselling in both English and Cantonese.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent over a decade in corporate retail leadership, managing large teams and working closely with executives and Boards of Directors. Throughout those years I became deeply passionate about supporting the growth and well-being of the people around me, which ultimately led me toward counselling. While working full-time, I completed my Master’s in Counselling through City University of Seattle. Because of this path, I understand the real-world pressures of balancing demanding careers, relationships, family responsibilities, and personal well-being—and how easy it can be to feel overwhelmed or disconnected while trying to hold everything together.
Clients often share that they feel comfortable opening up in sessions and appreciate the calm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space I provide. I value building strong therapeutic relationships and taking a thoughtful, long-term approach to healing and growth that supports meaningful and lasting change—for both the relationship and the individuals within it.
If any part of this resonates with you or your partner, I would be honoured to connect and support you on your journey toward greater connection and understanding.
