Originally from Ireland and living in Canada for over fifteen years, Mary is completing her Master’s in Counselling Psychology at City University of Seattle. She works with individuals across the lifespan, including children, teens, adults, couples, and families.
She supports people navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, overwhelm, and grief, and who are looking to make meaningful changes in their lives. Her own experiences navigating life’s challenges, and the support she found through counselling and community, are what led her into this work and continue to shape how she shows up as a counsellor.
Mary takes a holistic, person-centred, and trauma-informed approach, creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected as a whole person. She also brings a background in community-based work, yoga, and mind-body practices into her approach.
As a practicum student, Mary offers practicum counselling at a lower cost alongside individual counselling, with particular experience supporting clients through burnout and stress management.
Mary sees clients in person at our Vancouver, North Commercial Drive location, as well as through virtual care for clients anywhere in BC.

Nothing but positive experience with Mary. She was very understanding and compassionate and she was able to hear me and meet me where I was at. I felt very comfortable being vulnerable with her.
