Sadaf’s Story
Life brings transitions, losses, and unexpected turns that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from ourselves. Having immigrated from Iran to Canada during her teenage years, Sadaf understands the challenges of navigating change, identity, and belonging. These experiences, along with her own personal journey in therapy, have shaped her belief that healing is possible when we are met with compassion, presence, and genuine care.
Her Approach to Therapy
With a background in kinesiology from UBC, Sadaf has long been fascinated by the connection between body and mind. Over time, she discovered that tending to our emotional wellbeing is just as vital as caring for our physical health, which led her to counselling psychology. In her practice, she integrates Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) within a trauma-informed, client-centered framework. She knows every person’s story is unique and adapts her approach to meet your needs and pace.
In sessions, you’ll find a safe, judgment-free space where your emotions are welcomed as a guide rather than something to push away. Together, you and Sadaf will gently explore the patterns that may be holding you back and work toward building self-kindness, resilience, and healthier connections.
Fluent in English and Farsi, she is committed to making therapy accessible and inclusive. Above all, she feels honoured to walk alongside you, supporting your journey toward healing, self-discovery, and a more fulfilling life.
